growing- wachsen



These fickle little blocks really make my day .
I have to meet new challenges, but if I do not succeed, I will not resign, but let the block rest in peace for some leftover project.
So far no block made it into the scrap basket but in a pumpkin orange ring binder with sheet protectors for every row.

Chris's Soccer Field was yesterday's block. After my practising paperpiecing block it went much smoother.


Diese kleinen Blöcke entwickeln sich zu wahren Lichtblicken.
Natürlich bringen manche neue Herausforderungen und ich surfe durch so manche Seite um die verschiedenen Verarbeitungstechniken zu vergleichen und mich dann für meine zu entscheiden.
Wenn der Block nicht schön wird, darf er in der Restekiste darauf warten bei anderen Arbeiten verwurstet zu werden. Bis jetzt haben es aber alle Blöckchen in den orangefarbenen Ordner mit den Klarsichthüllen für jede Reihe geschafft.

Der gestrige zweite Papiernäh-Block lief schon besser.



Today I enjoyed a bit of applique and finished B1-Bachelor Buttons.
I am so glad I voted for contemporary fabrics. So fun to see Heather's Freshcut charms turn into repros of these antique little blocks!


Heute war mal wieder Applizieren dran.
Bin ich froh,dass ich mich für zeitgenössische Stoffe entschieden habe! Es ist eine Freude zu sehen, wie sich die Freshcut Charms in Dear Jane Blöcke verwandeln lassen.



Es ist außerdem immer sehr spannend, welchen Block Anina heraussucht, welche Techniken sie dafür vorschlägt und wie unterschiedlich die Blöcke in den verschiedenen Stoffauswahlen aussehen.

Thank you for your comment. Today I finished the quilt using the sateen binding as you suggested. I understand that you can't show the whole quilt until the show is over. Well, it is always nice to have a good thing waiting...
